The bullet-proof vest hits the stores as the latest attire for journalists in Mexico

Miguel Caballero, a Colombian designer in armored clothing, has become known for his fashionable bullet-proof vests for journalists

and photographers. Mexico has become one of the most dangerous places to be a journalist and companies are encouraging their reporters to start wearing armored vests and helmets into the field, reports Clarín and news agencies. The last major incident occurred last Friday when Los Zetas, a drug cartel known for occupying the eastern coast of Mexico, massacred 72 undocumented immigrants in transit for the United States. The danger has become so precarious in Mexico that according to La Prensa, the Honduran consulate in Mexico has recommended that Honduran media not send reporters to cover the massacre.
